Call for Applications: Travel Grants to Support Participation in the JAFRAL Phage Summit 2026
Purpose of Travel Grants
Our goal is to enable researchers and students from diverse scientific backgrounds and geographical regions to attend the conference, share their insights and foster new collaborations within the global phage community.
Eligibility
Applications are welcome from:
- Researchers and professionals (academic, clinical, industrial or biotech sectors)
- Graduate and undergraduate students
- Individuals actively involved in phage-related work or research
Grant Coverage
Each selected applicant will receive reimbursement of travel expenses up to €400.
Reimbursement will be processed after the conference, upon submission of valid travel expense documentation.
Application Procedure
Please submit your application by 15.04.2026 to events@jafral.com with the subject line:
Travel Grant Application – Your Name
Your application email must include the following information:
- Full Name
- Affiliation / Institution
- Country
- Status (employee / student)
- Your area of work related to bacteriophages
- Short description of your current work or research interests (2–3 sentences)
- Brief motivation statement explaining why you wish to attend the conference
Selection Process
A review committee will evaluate all submitted applications.
The selection of the five recipients will be based on:
- relevance of the applicant’s work to the field of phage research,
- clarity of motivation,
- potential for future engagement and collaboration within the phage community.
Selected applicants will be notified by 21.04.2026.
